The UAE’s Ministry of Education (MoE) has granted Fatima College of Health Sciences a higher education institution license in 2009 to issue undergraduate degrees to successful students. FCHS license was last renewed in 2018 for the next 5 years. All six undergraduate academic programs offered by the college are recognized by the MoE and have been awarded initial accreditation (IA) status by the Commission on Academic Accreditation (CAA), MoE. Nursing IA was awarded in 2010, while Emergency Health (Paramedics) and Physiotherapy received CAA IA award in 2014. This was followed by IA awards for Radiography & Medical Imaging and Pharmacy in 2016, and then subsequently Psychology in 2019. FCHS will have a new degree Bachelor in Midwifery that will be accredited for the academic year 2022/2023. All FCHS academic programs are in alignment with the Qualifications Framework Emirates.

National Qualifications Centre
Fatima College of Health Sciences (FCHS) is a Registered Training Provider, awarded by the UAE’s National Qualifications Centre (NQC) in 2021. FCHS was accredited to deliver NQC vocational degrees in 2022. FCHS provides Diploma in Health Care Assistant for the UAE’s workforce needs, and a Diploma for Combat Medical Technician for the UAE Armed Forces.

FCHS’s Emergency Health Department has obtained several esteemed professional certifications and endorsements for the Emergency Health Program. The awarding bodies include the American Heart Association, European Resuscitation Council, National Registry, National Ambulance and Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services. These affiliations have ensured that FCHS’s BSc in Emergency Health is among the best in the Middle East and North African region, attracting students of all nationalities.

BSc in Physiotherapy: accredited by World Physiotherapy Accreditation Service
Founded in 1951, The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) is the sole international voice for physiotherapists, representing more than 350,000 physiotherapists worldwide through its 112-member organization. WCPT is the most prestigious and recognized accreditation body for physiotherapy career and academic programs. Member organizations are national associations for physiotherapists, which must meet strict criteria before being admitted. WCPT or World Physiotherapy is the operating name of The confederation operates as a non-profit organization and is registered as a charity in the UK. It has been in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) since 1952. It works with a wide range of other international bodies and is a member of the World Health Professions Alliance. It is committed to furthering the physiotherapy profession and improving global health its mission is to:
- Represent physiotherapy and physiotherapists internationally
- Promote high standards of physiotherapy practice, education and research
- Facilitate communication and information exchange among member organizations, regions, subgroups and their members
- Collaborate with national and international organizations
- Contribute to the improvement of global health.
With proud, it does worth it to mention that FCHS-Physiotherapy Program is the very first PT Program to obtain this accreditation in UAE and in the Gulf Region.

BSc in Pharmacy (BPharm): initiated process with Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
FCHS’s Pharmacy Department submitted the accreditation application for the BPharm program to ACPE in August 2023. The process is currently underway.
BSc in Nursing: initiated process with Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
FCHS’s Nursing Department has initiated the process of accreditation with ACEN for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Vocational Education Accreditation
Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education (ACTVET) and National Qualifications Centre (NQC)
FCHS-ATP is a Registered Training Provider that was awarded its license by ACTVET and accredited by the NQC to deliver vocational programs in 2021. FCHS-ATP currently offers the Diploma in Health Care Assistant to meet the UAE’s growing healthcare workforce needs, and a Diploma for Combat Medical Technician to bolster the UAE’s Armed Forces.
