The FCHS’s Counselling Services
The FCHS’s Counselling Services strive to enhance students’ college experience and provide a variety of support services for students who require help. Counsellors offer one-to-one counselling, group counselling and workshops to address students personal and educational needs which may impede their adjustment to college life and/or academic achievement. Through this professional process students gain confidence to explore and implement possible solutions to problems they identify.
Student Counsellors
FCHS Student Counsellors provide safe and confidential environment for students to express their feelings and discuss their personal concerns related to health, time management, conflict management, study skills, grief and bereavement, and plan appropriate coping strategies to assist them achieve their fullest academic potential. They also help the students acquire skills essential to their success in college, career and family lives.
Qualified Counsellors
Counsellors are also qualified to offer support to the students with learning disabilities and special needs by providing the necessary accommodations required to help them cope with academia and achieve their educational objectives. Referrals to specialised professionals for further diagnosis and intervention, is one of the functions performed by the counsellors.
